Applicants for this job have the flexibility to work remote from home anywhere in the Continental United States, but there is a preference for the Washington DC area.

Position Purpose:
Facilitate the Public Policy team's tracking and review of regulatory federal and state policy/legislation updates and proposed changes. Perform research tasks and coordination with key business stakeholders to inform and analyze business impacts. Carry out important deliverables including fact sheets, slide decks, regulatory summaries, policy memos, and comment letters/RFIs.

• Monitor and track updates on legislation and regulation impacting Centene plans and products.
• Develop subject matter expertise on policy areas within particular line of business’ assignments and/or portfolio.
• Draft with guidance from manager, meeting summaries, policy memos, position papers, fact sheets, and presentations on public policy issues.
• Support legislative review/comment letter/RFI development process by engaging relevant subject matter experts and gather feedback to inform positioning, and then draft response/comment letter to relevant body (e.g. state legislature, CMS/other agencies).
• Attend meetings with third party organizations, including trade organizations, and identify and share key takeaways with Public Policy team leads. This may include requests for business input, opportunities, and risks, etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Health Policy, Public Policy, Political Science, Healthcare Administration, Business, Economics, Law, or similar field.
• 1-2 years combined experience of health policy, public policy, healthcare analytics, economics, law, or related experience.

Pay Range: $55,100.00 - $99,000.00 per year
