Your Role:
We have an exciting Queensland-based opportunity for a State Sales Manager to take the next step in their career within our Protective Coatings team. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for implementing the business strategy and delivering profitable revenue growth within the Queensland region. Success in this role will depend on your ability to lead, coach, develop, and motivate a team of technical sales and specifications professionals to achieve the sales targets for the state.
To be considered for this integral leadership position, you will be recognized for your strategic thinking and natural ability to influence. You will have a passion for ownership, be motivated by developing a team, and be able to manage and nurture professional relationships both internally and externally. You will be skilled at problem-solving, managing complexity, and inspiring a team to deliver consistent results.
Excellent communication skills, coupled with a proactive approach, will set you up for success. Your experience should provide you with a strong understanding of coatings, preferably Protective Coatings, and confidence working within this area. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage sales team performance through clear targets, ongoing measurement and coaching and development
- Ongoing review of market and new customer opportunities outside of existing customer base
- Drive implementation of national, regional and account specific field activities
- Promote and support planning for the field force to be more effective at executing objectives

Skills & Experience
- Previous sales leadership and people management experience
- Expertise in developing sales strategies and evaluating team performance
- Consistently achieving business growth targets in construction and project management
- Background in coatings or protective coatings highly beneficial
- Strong customer-centric approach, adept at managing complex relationships
- Demonstrated proficiency in product knowledge and troubleshooting
