The Opportunity:

Are you ready to elevate your career to the next level? We're seeking a Security Engineer to be responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of security technologies, controls, and processes that protect CTM’s systems and data. This role will focus on ensuring secure configurations, assisting with vulnerability remediation, and supporting detection and response capabilities. The Security Engineer will work closely with senior engineers, DevOps, and development teams to embed security best practices across the environment.

• Support and maintain technical security controls to enhance CTM’s overall security posture.
• Assist in hardening systems and applications across both cloud and on-premises environments.
• Monitor, manage, and optimize security tools such as EDR, SIEM, WAF, and cloud security platforms.
• Conduct vulnerability scans, coordinate remediation efforts, and track issue resolution.
• Support incident response activities and assist in security investigations.
• Contribute to securing CI/CD pipelines and development practices under senior guidance.
• Participate in integrating security tools, including log onboarding and automation scripting.
• Create and maintain documentation, playbooks, and stay updated on emerging threats and best practices.

About You:

• Tertiary qualification in IT/Cyber Security or equivalent experience; certifications like Security+, SSCP, or AWS Security are a plus.
• 2–3 years' experience in security engineering, system administration, or similar IT roles.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and foundational cloud security knowledge.
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms, log ingestion, and alert triage/tuning.
• Hands-on experience with endpoint security tools (EDR/XDR) and WAFs.
• Proficient in vulnerability management and remediation coordination.
• Basic scripting or automation skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell); solid Linux/Windows administration knowledge.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; team collaboration capability.
