The Opportunity:

Are you ready to elevate your career to the next level? We're seeking a Senior Security Engineer to be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced security controls and technologies that protect CTM’s information assets. This role provides technical leadership in embedding security best practices across infrastructure, applications, and cloud platforms. The Senior Security Engineer will play a key role in building and enhancing CTM’s detection and response capabilities, guiding junior engineers, and partnering with DevOps and development teams to ensure security is integrated into all stages of the delivery lifecycle.

• Design, implement, and optimize advanced security controls across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Lead system/application hardening and ensure secure configurations are maintained.
• Evaluate, integrate, and manage security technologies (e.g., SIEM, EDR/XDR, WAF, NDR).
• Develop detection rules, alerts, and incident response playbooks within security platforms.
• Manage the full vulnerability lifecycle: discovery, prioritization, remediation, and reporting.
• Provide expert guidance during security incidents and investigations.
• Embed security in CI/CD pipelines and champion secure development practices.
• Drive automation and mentor junior engineers to uplift security capability and efficiency.

About You:

• Tertiary qualification in IT/Cyber Security or equivalent experience; certifications like CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or cloud security certs are desirable.
• 5+ years’ experience in a technical security engineering role with proven expertise in cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong experience with SIEM integration, log source onboarding, and advanced rule tuning.
• Hands-on implementation and management of EDR/XDR, WAF, and NDR solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and optimize technical and automated security controls.
• Proficient in vulnerability management and establishing secure configuration baselines.
• Familiarity with DevOps workflows and securing CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid incident response background with strong threat detection engineering skills.
• Proficient in scripting or development (Python, PowerShell, or similar).
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and mentoring capabilities.
