Position Summary And Qualifications:

Saint Joseph’s University is seeking a tech-savvy, collaborative, and solutions-oriented Slate Manager to support their graduate efforts. This role serves as the primary functional contact for the Slate CRM system used across graduate programs, helping to implement, optimize, and maintain enrollment technologies and workflows.
This position reports to the Director of Graduate and Continuing Education Operations and the incumbent will work closely with the Director of Enrollment Operations, the Senior Director of Enterprise Applications, and other key Slate users. As an important member of various graduate teams, the Slate Specialist works cross-functionally with admissions counselors, academic coordinators, marketing staff, and IT teams. In doing this, the incumbent streamlines systems, provides training and support, and develops data-driven insights to guide strategy and improve student experience. This position supports Saint Joseph’s Jesuit mission of holistic student development and commitment to excellence through education and service. This position can be hybrid or remote.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  (included but are not limited to)

Essential Duties

  • Support the management and daily operations of the Slate CRM, ensuring system functionality, configuration, and performance for all graduate areas.
  • Implement, configure, monitor, and maintain Slate components such as fields, tabs, triggers, forms, communications, workflows, and rules.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to improve the admissions and enrollment experience through CRM enhancements.
  • Prepare and present reports on admissions trends, activities, and outcomes using Slate and Cognos.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all Slate-related inquiries related to graduate admissions.
  • Co-host regular Slate meetings with users to address issues, gather feedback, and identify functional needs.
  • Provide technical and strategic support in onboarding new programs into Slate or expanding functionalities of existing programs.
  • Provide end-user support and ongoing training for Slate users across the University.
  • Offer direct assistance to admissions counselors and staff on technology-related matters.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and champion for CRM and data usage best practices across the University.
  • Play a key role in evaluating and improving recruitment and admissions strategies through systems and analytics.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for CRM processes, workflows, and system configurations.
  • Work closely with colleagues in Enrollment Management and Graduate Studies to support the streamlining of processes
  • Support the implementation and adoption of Configurable Joins in Slate.
  • Implementing new Slate functionality as it becomes available to keep the system current
  • Provide support to all Slate users across undergraduate and non-credit areas as needed.
  • Support the integration of non-credit and continuing education initiatives into the University systems infrastructure.
  • Support other systems projects as needed.
  • Participate in recruitment and student support efforts.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. 
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (Education/Training and Experience)

Additional Duties

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in Slate by Technolutions, particularly in a higher education setting.
  • Strong understanding of CRM functionality, student recruitment, admissions, and enrollment workflows.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to self-start and manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work across departments and with users of differing levels of expertise.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, ask thoughtful questions, and propose innovative solutions.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service and cross-functional support.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • First-Hand Slate Experience.

  • Experience supporting both credit-bearing graduate and non-credit programs.
  • Familiarity with data reporting tools and basic knowledge of SQL, HTML, JAVA or other query languages.
  • Prior experience training or onboarding CRM users.
  • Experience training end-users on configurable joins 
  • Knowledge of higher education systems, enrollment operations, or student lifecycle management.

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:

Weekend and evening availability as needed.
