About us | Mō mātou

ACC exists to support people - we help prevent injuries and get New Zealanders and visitors back to everyday life if they’ve had an accident.

You can find more about ACC and the work we do here.

To help meet the cost of injury claims, ACC’s Investments Group actively manages an over $50 billion multi-asset class investment portfolio that is designed to offset the future cost of accidents that have already occurred. The majority of assets in the portfolio are managed by a team in New Zealand and are invested across listed and unlisted assets both here and across the globe.

Our Investments Group is made up of an experienced team with a strong positive culture. Looking to the future and with a commitment to excellence, the Investments Group continues to offer meaningful opportunities for growth, impact, and long-term success of its employees.

We are seeking two Portfolio Managers to join our Dynamic Asset Allocation (DAA) team within the Investments Group.

About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi

As a Portfolio Manager, DAA, you’ll be a key member of the team reporting to the Head of DAA. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the ongoing success of ACC’s investment performance by contributing to the DAA programme and generating value for the investment portfolio.

Dynamic Asset Allocation is a strategy which seeks to add value by dynamically altering exposures in response to changes to valuation signals and macroeconomic views. Exposures are taken within equity, bond, credit and foreign exchange markets, with exposures generally being implemented synthetically.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of ACC’s dynamic asset allocation strategy to enhance ACC fund performance and risk-adjusted returns.
  • Assist in the daily management of the DAA programme.
  • Evolve appropriate models and processes to develop the DAA programme.
  • Contribute to wider ACC investment strategy and performance and the general investment strategy of the Reserves portfolio.
  • Assist in building out incubator funds and monitoring specialist external investment managers.

A competitive base salary is on offer for this role plus a potential incentive (linked to achievement of objectives) and a range of other employee benefits.

This is a permanent role, based in Auckland (preferred) or Wellington.
