We are looking for an AI Powered Rotating Equipment Diagnostics Intern (Summer 2026) who is interested in gaining real-world experience in a dynamic, collaborative environment at our Round Rock, TX location.
As an AI Powered Rotating Equipment Diagnostics Intern you will be tasked with developing a cutting-edge AI solution that can analyze vibration data from rotating equipment. This will empower our subject matter experts to efficiently identify and diagnose potential issues, leading to improved equipment reliability and reduced downtime.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Data Acquisition and Preparation: Gather, clean, and preprocess vibration data from various rotating equipment to ensure compatibility with AI algorithms.
- Feature Engineering: Extract relevant features from the vibration data, such as frequency domain components, time-domain statistics, and time-frequency representations.
- Model Development and Training: Experiment with different AI algorithms (e.g., machine learning, deep learning) to develop accurate models for fault classification and severity assessment. Train and fine-tune the models using the prepared dataset.
- Model Deployment and Integration: Deploy the trained models into a user-friendly interface, such as a web application or mobile app. Integrate the AI solution with existing maintenance and monitoring systems.
- Performance Evaluation and Refinement: Continuously evaluate the performance of the AI solution and make necessary adjustments to improve its accuracy and efficiency.

You are eager to gain hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, and signal processing. You are a collaborative team player who can work effectively with subject matter experts and technology teams.
For This Role, You Will Need:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university
- Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States. Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Previous experience with data science and machine learning techniques.
- Knowledge of signal processing and vibration analysis.
- Experience in software development
- Junior or Senior year
