Relationship Officer Corporate/Commercial Banking

The Relationship Officer for Corporate/Commercial Banking plays a pivotal role in driving business growth and maintaining strong relationships with clients in the corporate banking sector. This position involves actively managing client portfolios, identifying business opportunities, and cross-selling the bank's products and services to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Manage a portfolio of corporate/commercial clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
• Identify and target potential clients to expand the bank’s customer base.
• Conduct regular reviews and assessments of client needs to provide tailored financial solutions.
• Collaborate with the credit and risk management teams to prepare and present credit proposals for clients.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies regarding client dealings.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting the banking sector.
• Engage in networking activities and represent the bank in industry events to foster relationships with potential clients.
• Monitor the performance of client accounts to mitigate risk and address any issues promptly.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A relevant master's degree or banking certification is an advantage.
• Professional Certification in either ACIB, ACCA, ICA or CFA is an added advantage.

Experience:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in corporate or commercial banking with a strong understanding of banking products and services.
