KYC Quality Assurance Supervisor - 6 Months Fixed Term Contract

Job Mission / Objective

The KYC Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes related to Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance within Access Bank PLC. This position ensures that KYC documentation and processes meet regulatory standards and internal policies, thereby safeguarding the bank against potential compliance risks.

In this role, the supervisor will conduct regular audits of KYC files, implement quality control measures, and identify areas for process improvement to enhance compliance efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:

• Supervise the daily activities of KYC QA Officers to ensure effective execution of QA reviews on remediated KYC files.
• Allocate and monitor workloads, ensuring timely completion of QA checks within agreed service levels.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to QA Officers to strengthen technical knowledge of AML/CFT requirements and quality control standards.
• Ensure QA reviews are conducted consistently, objectively, and in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain QA checklists and methodologies to improve assurance effectiveness.
• Oversee identification, documentation, and reporting of deficiencies across remediated KYC files.
• Review deficiency trends and provide feedback to the CDD Unit to address root causes.
• Escalate significant control weaknesses or unresolved deficiencies to management for decision-making.
• Prepare periodic reports for management.

Requirements

Academic Knowledge:

• Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant qualification.

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 1-4 years’ relevant experience in KYC compliance or quality assurance

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficiency in compliance-related software and data management tools
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
