This position offers a $2,000 (1 year stay-on agreement) or 4,000 (2 year stay-on agreement) Sign On Bonus with the agency! This bonus will be provided upon completion of a probationary period.
Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Child and Adolescent Outpatient Services Supervisor, this Mental Health Therapist will provide enhanced and outreach outpatient services across multiple levels of care. These services could include; enhanced therapy in the office setting, case management outreach activities, and coordination with providers both internally and externally with attendance at corresponding meetings. Population of focus will be youth and families. Specific training or experience with cognitive behavioral interventions and/or strength based treatment is highly preferred. There is an expectation for evening hours. Persons must be able to work well with others and have at least one year of experience working with children and families. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures. Requirements: MA degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or closely related field required or must be obtained within 60 days of application, LMSW preferred. Possession of an appropriate State of MI credential is required or must have applied for and be able to obtain within 60 days of hire. One year of experience (professional or paraprofessional) in the examination, evaluation and treatment of minors and their families required or one academic year of graduate practicum/internship experience with children and families required. One year of post Master’s experience with minors and families within the past 6 years preferred. Experience with youth age 5-17 preferred. Experience providing Evidence Based Practice specific to youth and families preferred. Experience providing outreach services with the SED population preferred. Persons must be able to work well with others and have at least one year of experience working with children and families. Specific training or experience with cognitive behavioral interventions and/or strength based treatment is highly preferred. Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both in writing and verbally is required. Candidate must be able to work well with others. Candidate will be expected to work some evening hours. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use is required.
Conditional Employment Requirement: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results a background verification and credentialing procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police clearance check, pass a Central Registry Screening, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, verification of an acceptable driving record, educational background check and verification of an acceptable work history. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Salary/Hours: $60,604 -$68,790 annually with scheduled, annual increases that can result in a salary of $79,538. 40 hours per week, some evening hours.
