The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking an IT Asset Management Support Specialist to join its dynamic team of technical professionals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems support team in Palmdale, CA.

Note: Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. Applicants are encouraged to apply, only if they are willing to work on-site.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Administer IT inventory system and asset management system. 
  • Update and administer asset databases, while also tracking life cycle of all assets and determining condition and arranging disposal of surplus or obsolete material and equipment.. 
  • Receive and manage inventory, ensuring security of assets while in inventory. 
  • Maintain and manage service level agreements, software license information and updates, and assist in developing enterprise-wide IT procedures. 
  • Receive new equipment and software requests, and monitor procurement and deployment activities. 
  • Verify data and monitor and reconcile changes in inventory; perform spot checks to ensure process and system quality.
  • Provide technical support for computers on an as needed basis; install, troubleshoot, service, and repair personal computers, related PC software, and peripherals, also on an as-needed basis.
  • Assist users in the use of personal computers.

This position may filled at a higher level based on the qualifications listed below.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 2:

  • High School diploma (or equivalent) and 2 years of relevant experience; OR an Associate’s degree and 0 years of relevant experience is required
  • Candidates must have a current DOD Secret level security clearance (at a minimum) in order to be considered 
  • Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, a DOD Top Secret level security clearance as a condition of continued employment
  • Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of employment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Product Suites
  • Past experience prioritizing and completing required tasks with minimal supervision
  • Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:
  • High School diploma (or equivalent) and 4 years of relevant experience; OR an Associate’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience is required; OR a Bachelor’s degree and 0 years of experience
  • Candidates must have a current DOD Secret level security clearance (at a minimum) in order to be considered 
  • Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, a DOD Top Secret level security clearance as a condition of continued employment
  • Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of employment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Product Suites
  • Past experience prioritizing and completing required tasks with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience with IT related assets in a classified environment
  • Active DOD Top Secret, TS/SCI, or SAP/SAR access is preferred
  • Current Security+ certification or greater
  • Familiarity with Windows OS
  • Prior experience with asset/inventory management

Primary Level Salary Range: $42,000.00 - $70,000.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $50,000.00 - $83,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
