• POSITION SUMMARY
• Verifies and balances entries and record of financial transactions reported by various hotel departments during the day.

Responsibilities

• Always maintain a pleasant, friendly and welcoming attitude at all times.
• Have a complete knowledge of all special events, facilities and promotional activities available to guests.
• Audits all accounts to ensure that they are in balance.
• Tray and city ledger, reservation deposits, credit card accounts, room and restaurant charges, other master accounts.
• Close out various accounts and transfer when necessary to master accounts.
• Prepare final reports of all accounts.
• Prepare daily reports.
• Post room and tax revenue and late charges.
• Other duties as assigned.

Miscellaneous

• Ability to operate a posting machine, 10-key calculator and computer.
• Knowledge of the principles of auditing, balancing and closing of accounts.
• Ability to read, write and understand accounting documents.
• Ability to work alone.
• Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Vocational or business college courses in bookkeeping and business machines.
• One year experience as a Front Desk Agent with night audit training.
