  • What you'll do...
  • • Lead vehicle-level software integration across all domains, ensuring compatibility of in-house and supplier ECUs.
  • Define and manage integration strategies, test plans, and regression loops for pre-merge and post-merge software releases.
  • Own and operate prototype vehicle bring-up, including flashing, network validation (CAN/LIN/FlexRay/Ethernet), and feature smoke testing.
  • Drive root-cause analysis of cross-domain software/hardware issues, coordinating with domain software teams and suppliers.
  • Establish and maintain vehicle-level SIL/HIL “virtual car” environments for automated regression testing.
  • Collaborate with Release Engineering to develop efficient software flashing, build, and logging pipelines.
  • Define and maintain interface specifications (signals, diagnostics, timing budgets, communication protocols) across domains.
  • Partner with calibration and attribute teams to ensure vehicle-level attributes (driveability, responsiveness, safety, NVH) are met.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior integration engineers and operators.
  • Support vehicle testing at proving grounds, winter test sites, and internal fleet usage.
  • You'll have...
  • • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in automotive software or systems integration, with at least 3 years at vehicle-level scope.
  • Strong knowledge of embedded automotive ECUs (chassis, powertrain, body, ADAS, thermal).
  • Proficient in vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet).
  • Experience with diagnostics (UDS, OBD-II, DoIP) and flashing tools.
  • Hands-on experience with HIL/SIL environments and prototype vehicle bring-up.
  • Familiarity with tools: CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape, Vector tools, dSPACE, ETAS, Python/C++ scripting.
  • Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills across hardware/software boundaries.
  • Understanding of functional safety (ISO 26262) and ASPICE processes is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, prototype-heavy environment with limited documentation.
  • Willingness to travel to proving grounds and remote test sites.
