The Patient Services Specialist (PSS) is the first point of contact to patients or visitors in person or by phone. This position plays a key role in maintaining a high level of patient satisfaction by providing exceptional customer service.
Typical Job Skills Include:
- Navigates multiple complex data systems to research and/or record patient information in person or by phone.
- Operates multi-line telephone systems; routes calls and responds to general inquires.
- Registers patients; updates demographic and insurance information.
- Makes patient appointments and monitors appointment schedules daily.

Providence Medical Group is a group of primary care and specialty care clinics serving patients in Southern Oregon between Eagle Point and Ashland. Our clinicians and staff strive Requisition Structure Section: to create a distinctive health care experience for each patient – one focused on trust, respect, communication, and teamwork.
HOME CLINIC: Open positions are located at various clinics across the Southern Oregon (including: Primary Care and Specialty Care Clinics). We will discuss current open positions and your preferences during the interview.
Required Qualifications:
- 1 year customer service experience, or Successful completion of Providence internship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year of Medical office or health care experience.
- Basic experience with electronic medical records and/or computerized billing systems.
- Medical terminology experience.
- Rooming position: CNA, non-credentialed MA, EMT experience, or similar experience.
