We are offering a new position and opportunity for an Employee Relations Manager to support the HR function for over 800 team members from our restaurant Support Center office in beautiful Solana Beach, CA.

Urban Plates currently owns and operates 21 fast-casual, high-volume restaurants in CA, with a new opening scheduled for Davis, CA in October 2025. Urban Plates promises our team members clarity, belonging, preparation, support, development, and opportunity.

We offer a competitive base salary with a range of between $80 - 90K, up to 10% bonus, and a comprehensive benefit plan (effective on the 1st of the month following hire) that includes -

This position is in-person located in Solana Beach, CA (near San Diego) and requires that you have the ability to commute to this location which is where our restaurant Support Center is located.

We are seeking someone that possesses -

• Strong experience with Employee Relations.
• Solid HR Generalist experience in Hospitality, Restaurant, or Retail with multiple sites if preferred.
• 3-5 years' experience handling TM investigations, unemployment hearings, performance management, and documentation timely and consistent with company policy
• Expertise and experience with CA employment law and compliance.
• Has experience with an HCM (Dayforce/Ceridian preferred but not essential), with strong electronic systems, processes, and workflows for the full life cycle of the team member experience.
• Experience with companies with 700-2000 TMs (medium sized) preferred.
• Bilingual English and Spanish a plus!
