Job Overview:

The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking a Program Administrator to provide comprehensive support to the Chief Data Officer (CDO). This role involves leading administrative tasks, managing projects, and ensuring the efficient operation of the D&IS Office. As the Program Coordinator for D&IS, your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing various administrative tasks (e.g. scheduling meetings, making travel arrangements, and communicating with clients).
  • Formulating policies and acting as a liaison among management staff and other agency managers.
  • Attending meetings with the CDO to coordinate action items and follow-up, monitoring tasks and deadlines, managing contracts and agreements, and ensuring timely submission of D&IS activities.
  • Coordinating with various bureaus and departments to facilitate project success, analyze and evaluate D&IS goals, and develop performance benchmarks
  • Managing office functions (e.g. budget and expenditures, scheduling, and business operations).
  • Responding to inquiries from legislators and other agencies.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in managing administrative and project coordination tasks. They should have strong communication and time management abilities, and be comfortable supporting leadership with scheduling, documentation, and follow-up. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Word, Excel, OneNote, Publisher, and Project) is important for handling calendars, reports, and project tracking.

Qualifications

4 yrs. trg. or 4 yrs. exp. in business administration management science or public administration. 

  • Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.
  • Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.
  • Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 1, 63122.
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above
