Financial Records Management:
- Maintain comprehensive financial records and reports, including general ledger, financial statements, and management reports
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all financial data and documentation
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial information
- Continuously improve financial record-keeping processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency
Accounts Receivable Management:
- Oversee all aspects of accounts receivable operations, including invoicing, collections, and customer account management
- Monitor aging reports and implement collection strategies to optimize cash flow
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing disputes and payment issues
- Analyze receivables trends and provide recommendations for process improvements
Month-End Close Activities:
- Lead and coordinate recurring accounting close activities within established timelines
- Prepare detailed schedules and supporting documentation for financial reporting and external audit review (KPMG)
- Ensure compliance with month-end close procedures and regulatory requirements
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline close activities
Balance Sheet Reconciliations:
- Perform detailed monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
- Investigate and resolve variances in a timely manner
- Maintain supporting documentation for all reconciliations
- Ensure accuracy of balance sheet reporting for management and external stakeholders
Special Projects & Business Partnership:
- Lead and participate in special accounting and finance projects as assigned
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and system implementations
- Provide financial insights and guidance to support business decision-making
- Work with senior management to develop process improvements and best practices
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required, MBA preferred
- 8-12 years of progressive accounting experience in a large, complex, global public company
- Experience with US GAAP and SOX compliance requirements
- Proven track record in a rapidly growing company environment
Technical Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with ability to analyze complex financial data and identify trends
- Excellent proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills
- Experience with financial reporting tools and automated reconciliation systems
- Knowledge of accounts receivable management systems and collection processes
Professional Competencies:
- Strong business acumen with ability to translate financial analysis into actionable recommendations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to convey complex accounting concepts to non-financial stakeholders
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management
- Must handle multiple tasks, manage time effectively, and establish priorities to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work across various time zones based on business needs
