Job Summary:
The On-Site Operations Supervisor for the North-East area is responsible for ensuring that business objectives are met in a safe and environmentally compliant manner. The supervisor oversees reliability, personnel management, compliance, quality, and safety/environmental programs for the assigned area. Working with over 20 on site facilities, and up to 15 technicians; all focused on the operation and maintenance of air separation facilities located at customer sites. The facilities use several technologies to produce industrial gas including cryogenic distillation, vacuum pressure swing adsorption, pressure swing adsorption, and membranes. The supervisor will be based in the vicinity of grouped production locations and perform confidently in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of independence. They will be supervising improvement initiatives in Productivity, Quality, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction; as well as manage employee and operational performance to ensure safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant operations.
Job Purpose:
The On-site Operations Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of the safe and efficient operations of facilities in the assigned area.
Location: Within 50miles of Albany, NY
Reporting Relationship:
The On-Site Operations Supervisor reports to the On-site Area Manager
Principal Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and supervision over technical, production, maintenance and/or other staff.
- Manage organizational change in a fast-paced environment.
- Convert strategic initiatives into actionable steps at the tactical level
- Engages a variety of support groups to help meet needs
- Recruit, select, orient, and train new employees; oversee performance of contracted work as required.
- Resolve workflow problems and conflicts by analyzing impediments and organizing work to maximize use of personnel and material resources.
- Ensure completion of area production or area activities by reviewing and monitoring employee activity and performance.
- Integrate activities with East region bulk operations
- Ensure employee adherence to and compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and Safety policy requirements.
- Identify issues and lead improvement plans in production processes, shift schedules, overtime levels, training, etc.
- Manage and escalate as required, equipment, product quality and delivery issues.
- Manage employee performance by setting expectations, providing guidance, feedback, and development for career progression and performance improvement.
- Communicates effectively throughout the organization.
Working Conditions:
In addition to being able to sit, stand, walk, read, talk, and hear, to perform the essential functions of this job an individual must be able to do the following additional activities: Regularly sit in front of a computer for extended periods; occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Travel to offices and production facilities as necessary. Travel could be as high as 25%. The position requires the incumbent to be on-call and available to work weekends. Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in a technical field is preferred.
- 5+ years Operations experience required.
- Air Separation Unit (ASU) experience is preferred, Fluency in Standard Plants is a plus.
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Must currently live or be willing to relocate to within 50 miles of Albany, NY.
- Management experience is preferred

Salary:
Pay commensurate with experience. Open to salary range $106,575 - $156,310.
