We are seeking a Customer Service Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for safely maintaining and constructing all types of liquid and/or gaseous cryogenic supply systems. The tech must professionally interact with management, project manager, planner, sales, customers, contractors, engineers and inspectors regarding maintenance and construction at the customer's site.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, internet searches, smart phones, tablets, and handheld data entry devices.
- Maintenance Technician hours are 8 - 12-hour days and will be on call 24 hours unless scheduled off. All work is outdoors in all-weather conditions all year long.
- Day travel required with occasional overnight stays.
- Job requires a valid Driver’s License, and candidate must be able to safely operate a company service vehicle in all types of weather.
- The successful candidate must be an organized self-starter that can plan his/her daily workload.
- This position reports remotely to the Customer Service Maintenance Superintendent located at the Huntsville, AL facility. Work territory includes areas in Northern and Central Ga, with primary focus on the greater Atlanta area. The candidate must reside within proximity to this territory of coverage and close access to the interstate system.
- The technician must have a professional personality to communicate with sales representatives, customer personnel, and internal maintenance planning groups.
- The successful candidate must possess the following set of core skills: Communication both written and verbal, ability to follow written and verbal instructions, understanding of drawings, detailed oriented, knowledge of hand and power tools, etc.
- The company will train the candidate at our National Training Center located in East Chicago, IN with class sessions usually lasting a week in duration. We require our employees to be team players and safety is part of our everyday culture.
- Training classes are at the collegiate level and are designed to develop competence in the following topics: Bulk Atmospheric Gas (BAG) Systems, Hydrogen systems, CO2 systems, high pressure pumping systems, electrical AC/DC, 600 Volt Level 1 and 2, pipe joining, technical cleaning, and NITC/ medical install certification.
- Must be an organized self-starter with the ability to effectively plan their weeks work based on work orders, schedule, and customer needs. Must be a team player that is able to effectively communicate with management, sales, contractors, and customer.
- Skill set for the core work as follows: Troubleshoot and repair Cryogenic systems (centrifugal pumps, refrigeration equipment, repair leaks, etc..), perform inspections, follow standards and policies, read print and schematics, understand P&ID's and materials of construction, layout and install system, pipefitting, electrical trouble shooting, understand regulators, solenoids, check valves, different types of valves manual and automatic, pressure relief devices and rupture discs.
Qualifications

- High School Diploma/GED
- Entry level, 2+ years maintenance, installation, repair of mechanical and electrical systems
- Must be technologically savvy and have the ability to use or learn the above-mentioned software and devices
- Refrigeration/HVAC or cryogenic experience preferred but not required.
- Welding or brazing experience preferred but not required
