Reporting to the Global Head of Tax, the Global Transfer Pricing (TP) Director will lead the newly established Global TP Team and be responsible for ensuring compliance with tax regulations and driving effective tax planning initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and lead a global team of transfer pricing specialists to ensure the timely and efficient completion of transfer pricing initiatives. The initial team is expected to be 2-4 professionals, but this size and composition of the team may change as business requirements dictate.
- Develop and implement global transfer pricing strategies in line with company objectives and tax regulations.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive transfer pricing compliance approach balancing cost and other considerations for Chubb
- Work closely with global, segment and regional finance teams to develop and update transfer pricing policies, documentation and audit defense positions ensuring expenses are deductible where incurred or recharged
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders in segment and regional business unit management, finance and legal to ensure global tax transfer pricing concerns are holistically and practically addressed and new TP opportunities are identified.
- Partnering with the tax technology leader, identify opportunities to leverage technology to reduce costs and improve quality of data in the transfer pricing function.
- Work with external auditors on TP matters, as appropriate.
- Oversee the performance of external advisors globally, ensuring the quality of the work, the consistency of approach globally, and the most efficient use of budget.
- Provide strategic advice on transfer pricing issues as they arise in M&A deals and new business initiatives.
- Provide insight, advice and analysis on TP controversy globally
- Continuously monitor transfer pricing developments globally and reflect as appropriate in Chubb’s TP strategies.
