We’re looking for a People and Culture Advisor to join our team in, Wingene, Belgium.
Role Summary
Westfalia Fruit is seeking a People & Culture Advisor to join our offices in Belgium, who will be responsible for supporting on a range of HR services that align with the company’s global and local, strategic objectives.

For over 30 years, Syros has been the European reference for avocado products. With production sites in Wingene and Ostend and a team of 47 employees, we bring the tastiest avocado creations to the European retail and food service market. Since January 1st, Syros has been part of the Westfalia Fruit Group. We are an ambitious company with a core (literally 🥑) and are now looking for a driven P&C Advisor to join our team. This role report solid line to the regional Head of P&C and dotted line to the Finance Manager of Syros.
Responsibilities Include:
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, ensuring all data is kept up-to-date and compliant with legal requirements.
- Support employment law compliance and HR policy adherence across the business, helping to mitigate risk and drive consistency.
- Deliver insightful HR reports and data analysis to inform decision-making and track key workforce trends.
- Partner with managers to resolve employee relations matters, offering guidance and support alongside the Head of People & Culture.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from crafting compelling job descriptions to overseeing a seamless onboarding experience.
- Lead initiatives to support employee wellbeing, partnering with external providers and analyzing engagement to continuously enhance support.
- Play an active role in shaping a diverse and inclusive culture through community partnerships and internal data analysis.
- Guide managers and staff on compensation and benefits, contributing to fair and competitive salary reviews.
- Ensure workplace health and safety compliance, providing practical guidance and clearly communicating emergency procedures.
- Conduct meaningful exit interviews and translate feedback into actionable insights to improve employee experience.
Requirements
Experience We Look For:
Essential
- Previous experience as a HR Administrator.
- Knowledge of Belgium employment law.
- Experience of working within a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
- Experience gained within FMCG/food production produce/manufacturing environment advantageous.
