About The Opportunity

As our Retail Postage Sorter, you’ll play an important part in keeping millions of Australians connected. As you’d expect, plenty of mail comes through our Post Offices and delivery facilities every day – and our mail sorting teams make sure every delivery gets where it needs to.  

Our relief team members will be allocated shifts at multiple Post Offices within a geographical location, a willingness to work at multiple locations with a variety of start and finish times across our operational hours of Monday - Friday is a requirement of this position

• Relief locations include: Sunshine, Footscray, Williamstown, Flemington, North Melbourne, Moonee Ponds, Fitzroy, Collingwood and Niddrie Post Offices
• 15 Hours per week, 3 Hour shift daily Monday to Friday
• Supportive training provided on commencement in role at Post Office
• Pay Rate $28.12 per hour increases to $30.07 per hour after 3 months + 12% Superannuation

You’Ll Be

• Manually sorting all mail arriving at the workplace.
• Sorting and distributing mail into relevant PO Boxes. 
• Assisting and/or performing administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance.

• You’re friendly, enthusiastic and reliable and you love the balance of working in a team environment and autonomously. 
• You’re motivated by the opportunity to help make a difference to your community. 
• Call upon your memory and hand-eye coordination while sorting.  
• Be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail regularly and stand for your shift.
