What you’ll deliver with us 

This role supports the Head of Technology People & Culture in providing the technology ambition, technology expertise and strategic leadership for developing and implementing Technology strategy in this function. These initiatives enable our business to deliver great customer and workforce experiences and solutions that support the long-term objectives of Australia Post. This includes overall accountability for the planning and execution of the business technology ambition, shaping and architecting business ideas to optimise outcomes, mobilisation of the business’ technology investment program, solution & delivery of the investment program and operational delivery of technology services to our businesses and customers.  


Reporting directly into the Head of Technology the Business Solutions Lead assists in the delivery and resolution for major change programs, minor enhancements and operational delivery for the People & Culture business unit. Partnering with key business unit managers to understand needs and challenges, to ensure delivery of critical programs and manage escalations as required.
 

You’Ll Also

  • Review the funnel of ideas from the People & Culture team and develops the business case by shaping what the delivery team would look like. The you will hand it off to the team to deliver. This is a build role.
  • Manage the engagement with People & Culture businesses, working across our businesses and technology to ensure alignment to Customer priorities and ensuring that a step change in our customer’s experience is achieved through technology.
  • Effectively communicates the Technology ambition, strategic direction and key priorities throughout Australia Post. Use targeted communications that are appropriate to the many varied stakeholders.
  • Review and ensure quality of all Concepts, Idea Proposals, Idea/ Evaluate Business cases and associated documents and review all costings and financial metrics
  • Working directly with business stakeholders to craft & deliver innovative solutions, owning and delivering technology contribution for any tender responses
  • Recommends and identify new business opportunities in leveraging current and planned business solutions.

About you 
Ultimately, we are looking for someone who can build strong relationships with the P&C and Technology teams to understand their business needs. This goal of this role is to influences the most optimal business outcomes with internal/external service providers. If you can work with 
IT delivery teams to represent P&C business priorities assisting with facilitating prioritisation and demand management with the business, then this is a great role for you! Ideally you can condense problems into priorities and take and idea into a plan of action! That’s why a consulting background is highly regarded. 
 

You’Ll Also Need

  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with Technology teams in delivering end-to-end Technology services (plan, build, run)
  • Background working in strategy consulting, technology or business analysis is advantageous
  • Internal knowledge of Australia Post and our processes is highly regarded 
  • Business Case Development or Project Management skills with the ability to take something from concept stage into evaluate stage.
  • Demonstrated experience in defining, developing and executing technology strategies that are aligned to business ambitions
  • Strong ability to build relationships with new and varied stakeholders 
  • Good stakeholder management skills and comfortable with facing into Head’s of Technology and Head’s of P&C
