About The Team
Based in Hong Kong, our Transactional Services team provides comprehensive legal advice to clients across the technology, science, and industrial sectors, handling a wide array of complex, cross-border matters. We specialise in commercial and corporate advisory services, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), licensing, regulatory compliance, private equity, and corporate reorganisations.
Recognised for our skill in managing high-profile transactions, we deliver strategic guidance and expertly navigate challenging regulatory environments. Clients rely on us to support their growth through M&A, capital raising, and business or asset sales, all while mitigating risk. Our projects frequently require input from various legal disciplines, so we work in close partnership with other practice groups at Pinsent Masons. This collaborative approach allows us to deliver a complete suite of services, ensuring our clients receive pragmatic, commercially focused advice tailored to their needs.
About The Opportunity
As a senior lawyer, you will take a leading role on transactions for a range of exciting high-profile projects across the Asia Pacific for domestic and cross border deals. In this role you will be directly managing client expectations and lines of enquiry, so you will need to have strong advisory skills along with specialist experience working on private M&A deals, banking and securities work.
You will be an important contributor to the success of the transactional services team, working closely with Partners on business development activities to identify new client opportunities, and contribute strategically to proposal and tender efforts. Additionally, you will also be encouraged to develop your own valuable relationships and build on your market presence.
What we are looking for
This opportunity is ideal for a Hong Kong-qualified senior lawyer with significant experience in private M&A transactions, banking, and securities work, preferably gained within a leading national or international firm. Candidates should possess very strong English skills (Chinese is an asset), and demonstrate excellent organisation, commercial awareness, and interpersonal abilities.
To excel in this position, you’ll need a collaborative approach—enjoying teamwork and engaging effectively with colleagues across different practice groups throughout the region—while also demonstrating initiative and the ability to manage matters independently. This role is ideal for individuals who are confident handling complex legal issues, building and nurturing client relationships, and contributing to a high-performing team environment, yet are equally comfortable taking personal ownership and responsibility for their assignments.
