The University Engagement Office (UEO) is established with the primary objective of enhancing the University's engagement with stakeholders of the community and strengthening its brand. The office takes charge of engaging both internal and external stakeholders, managing university-wide events and marketing initiatives, and handling mainland affairs.
The UEO is now inviting applications for the following position:
Manager (25260226)
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the formulation, execution, and review of the University’s comprehensive strategies and initiatives for engagement, communication, marketing, and branding;
- Plan, coordinate, and implement University-wide marketing and engagement campaigns, events, and programmes;
- Ensure effective and precise communication the University’s achievements, developments, and initiatives across various media platforms and promotional channels;
- Manage the planning and production of promotional materials, including publications and souvenirs;
- Connect and collaborate closely with internal Faculties/Departments/Offices to stay informed of the University’s latest news for the development of marketing and engagement initiatives; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A recognised degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related discipline;
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in Public Relations, Event Management, or related areas;
- Established networks and connections with mainland and international media, as well as universities;
- Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua;
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills;
- Effective team player, with the ability to multitask, work well under pressure, and meet tight deadlines; and
- Proficient computer skills.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review and mutual agreement.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
