onsemi is currently hiring a Night Shift Production Manager in Mountain Top, PA!
This is the management representative responsible for night-shift operations manufacturing silicon wafers. This shift production manager is to assure safe and efficient operations for fab operations areas and will be interfacing with Fabrication Specialists, Equipment Technicians, Facilities Staff, and Engineers. The right candidate will maintain a positive attitude towards this job and company as well as ensure a healthy, safe, and environmentally responsible workplace.

Work Hours:
- Night shift schedule beginning 11:00PM Sunday night through 7:30AM Friday morning.
- Assures compliance with all safety standards and participates in monitoring them.
- Actively supports and maintains a safe working environment by teaching and monitoring the use of established company safety programs on the site.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency while performing all tasks without jeopardizing quality and safety.
- Supports and adheres to the company’s policies and procedures.
- Recognizes and makes the best use of people’s skills, competencies, and contributions
- Be an effective and reliable source for Fab Specialists and equipment maintenance technicians on an 8-hour shift.
- Understand financial and operational goals, communicate them to the employees on shift and lead them to meet those goals.
- Develops and mentor the shift’s direct labor to operate autonomously and effectively within their area of specialty using established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
- Oversees all essential requirements to keep the Fabrication area functioning properly.
- Communicates in a timely and thorough fashion with all customers and team members.
- Provides guidance and direction on production and engineering issues taking place during shift.
- Utilizes Lot Priority, line balance and other inventory management systems as required.
- Utilizes and maintains electronic product tracking and communication systems.
- Able to utilize computer aided manufacturing such as Work stream and Cold Fusion for communication, data recording and report extraction.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
- 3+ years’ experience in an automated manufacturing environment required.
- Prior experience working in a union direct labor environment is preferred.
- Semiconductor wafer fab experience is preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of all aspects of operations management: capacity, headcount management, lean manufacturing/continuous improvement, production scheduling, etc.
- Ability to foster a professional work environment that instills trust and confidence among reports, peers and supporting organizations.
- Demonstrated experience and skill using computers in the factory environment for automation, analysis and communication - including email, web applications and Microsoft Office suite. Good knowledge of excel.
- Ability and willingness to alter schedule as needed in support of training, coverage and off-shift meetings.
