The IAM Engineer Manager is a key role responsible for architecting, implementing, and overseeing Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions for enterprise clients. This position blends deep technical expertise with strategic leadership and people management, guiding both clients and internal teams through all phases of IAM initiatives. The successful candidate will drive organizational security, regulatory compliance, and user experience enhancements, while also leading and developing a high-performing IAM engineering team.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of IAM solutions, including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Identity Governance.
  • Oversee and direct IAM assessments, strategy development, and road mapping for clients.
  • Supervise the configuration, deployment, and integration of leading IAM platforms such as Entra ID, Saviynt, Veza, CyberArk, Okta, or similar technologies.
  • Provide people management and mentorship to IAM engineers and consultants, including performance reviews, career development, and ongoing coaching.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams—including Information Security, IT Operations, and Application Development—to ensure effective IAM implementation and seamless integration with business processes.
  • Develop, review, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and operational procedures.
  • Lead incident response and troubleshooting efforts related to IAM systems and processes.
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IAM and cybersecurity, and drive their adoption across the team and organization.
  • Advise clients on regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., SOX, HIPAA, GDPR) as they relate to IAM controls, processes, and audits.
  • Support business development activities, including proposal writing, solution scoping, and client presentations.
  • Manage project resources, timelines, and deliverables for multiple concurrent IAM engagements.
  Essential Traits:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in Identity and Access Management engineering, consulting, or related leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing technical teams, with strong people management and leadership skills.
  • Deep understanding of IAM concepts such as authentication, authorization, federation, and access governance.
  • Extensive experience with leading IAM platforms (e.g., Entra ID, Saviynt, Veza, CyberArk, Okta).
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Java) for automation and integration tasks (preferred).
  • Solid knowledge of protocols such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SCIM, and LDAP.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client engagement skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., CISSP, CISM, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Saviynt Certified Professional).
