The IAM Engineer Senior Consultant plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions for enterprise clients. This position combines deep technical expertise with strategic consulting to help organizations strengthen their security posture, ensure regulatory compliance, and enable seamless user experiences. The successful candidate will guide clients through all phases of IAM projects, from requirements gathering and architecture to deployment and ongoing support.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement IAM solutions, including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Identity Governance.
  • Lead and participate in IAM assessments, strategy development, and road mapping for clients.
  • Configure, deploy, and integrate IAM platforms such as Entra ID, Saviynt, Veza, CyberArk, Okta or similar technologies.
  • Provide technical leadership to project teams, mentoring junior engineers and consultants.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Information Security, IT Operations, and Application Development, to ensure effective IAM implementation and integration.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and operational procedures.
  • Support incident response and troubleshooting related to IAM systems and processes.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IAM and cybersecurity.
  • Advise clients on regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., SOX, HIPAA, GDPR) as they relate to IAM controls and processes.
  • Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal writing, client presentations, and solution scoping.
  Essential Traits:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Identity and Access Management engineering or consulting roles.
  • Strong understanding of IAM concepts such as authentication, authorization, federation, and access governance.
  • Experience with leading IAM platforms (e.g., Entra ID, Saviynt, Veza, CyberArk, Okta).
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Java) for automation and integration tasks (preferred).
  • Knowledge of protocols such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SCIM, and LDAP.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client engagement skills.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., CISSP, CISM, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Saviynt Certified Professional).
