Remelt Metallurgist

Arconic is currently in search of Remelt Metallurgist to join our Remelt Technical Team based in Kitts Green, Birmingham.

• Maintaining corporate and ISO quality accreditations
• Supporting chemical analysis and certification
• Quality
• Cleanliness

In this role, you will:   Responsibilities Include:

• Evaluation, testing, monitoring and reporting of key process parameters
• Raw material evaluations
• Development of casting practices and technology
• Organising and co-ordinating instrument / machine maintenance, service visits and associated contracts
• Purchase and control of departmental consumables
• Reporting of performance/results
• Furnace processing
• In-line degassing
• Grain refinement
• Hydrogen content
• Metal distribution 
• Level control
• Moulds
• Casting water control
• Casting practices
• Ingot inspection

You have: (required) 

• Degree in related science / engineering subject.
