What You’Ll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
- Promote Downer’s Zero Harm practices and ensure all systems, procedures, and documentation comply with WHS, environmental, and Electrical Operating Authority requirements.
- Manage electricity generation and transmission, oversee maintenance and safety standards, and proactively identify and mitigate risks in technical delivery
- Track contract KPIs, provide analytical support, and ensure accurate, synchronized data across systems for internal and client-facing reports.
- Build a high-performing, collaborative team culture focused on quality and innovation, while developing technical capability and depth within the team.
- Maintain technical relationships with Defence Directorates, support subcontractor issue resolution, and contribute to scope and selection of specialist subcontractors.
What You’Ll Bring
- Extensive experience in electrical trade roles, including HV switching, maintenance planning, and strong knowledge of asset management and compliance frameworks.
- Relevant electrical trade licences across NSW, ACT, and QLD, with desirable qualifications including a degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering and mandatory site access credentials (e.g., White Card).
- Must be eligible to obtain and retain Defence Security Clearance and have prior experience with Defence estate systems and performance frameworks
- Proficiency in CMMS, maintenance scheduling systems, and performance data analysis, with a focus on data integrity and reporting.
- Demonstrated skills in team leadership, stakeholder engagement, contract governance, and systems thinking to drive planning and performance outcomes.
