As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Infrastructure Platforms team, you apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. As an accomplished Infrastructure Engineer, you will collaborate within a team to manage all facets of network product engineering, including deployment, automation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and support. Continue to evolve your technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of your aligned domain of expertise.
Job Responsibilities
- Applies technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope
- Drives a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies
- Works with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes
- Executes creative solutions for the design, development, and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate complexity
- Strongly considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications and advises on mitigation actions
- Operate effectively in a global, multi-time-zone environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation in network and security operations
- Demonstrate expertise in product engineering, testing, system design, architecture, and automation to ensure the delivery of high-quality network solutions.
- Address complex technical challenges at scale, particularly with vendor products like Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), by developing integration components, utilizing APIs, and leveraging open third-party SDKs...
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on network engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Demonstrate proficiency in Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) or a comparable access-control system, with hands-on experience in large-scale implementations.
- Deliver vendor products successfully, managing the process from initial design through to production deployment.
- Apply strong skills in Linux, network engineering, and security, leveraging experience with vendor products such as Cisco, Arista, Juniper, F5, Checkpoint, or Fortinet.
- Obtain and maintain network certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE.
- Evaluate, test, and integrate third-party tools and applications to ensure seamless, reliable, and highly available end-to-end customer service.
- Review and enhance existing tools to improve performance and functionality.
- Support customer onboarding for new products, providing documentation and training for engineering teams, customers, and end-users.
- Build and maintain dynamic, interactive dashboards using Grafana, Dynatrace, and Splunk.
- Develop and automate software solutions using high-level programming languages such as Python and Bash scripting, along with tools like Ansible.
