As a Security Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the C & TC SaaS Inelegance, you serve as a seasoned member of a team that works to develop and deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. Carry out critical technology solutions with tamper-proof, audit defensible methods across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives
We are looking for a reliable and collaborative Security Engineer with a well-rounded background in software and data engineering to help tackle complex SaaS security challenges. In this role, you will advance security products by working with other Software Security Engineers, Product Security Leads and Developers, and business leaders throughout JPMorganChase to turn security services and sloutions into patterns and insights that can be measured and managed through engineering, and automation. You will provide your insights and experience to other team members to help stay on top of current developments and stakeholder needs from our services or solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Executes, creates and implements code for a product, service, or feature, reusing code as applicable. Technical troubleshooting with the ability to apply knowledge of existing solutions to satisfy requirements for internal clients
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Applies specialized tools (e.g., vulnerability scanner) to analyze and correlate incident data to identify, interpret, and summarize the probability and impact of threats when determining specific vulnerabilities
- Proactively seek new knowledge and adapt to new information, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of solutions while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Proficient in coding in one or more popular languages and platforms - such as C#, Java, C++, JavaScript/Typescript, Ruby, Python.
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
- 2+ Experience with cloud infrastructure technologies, and leading engineering teams
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience developing security engineering solutions
- SSE, CASB or SSPM experience
