Profile:
You will work within a highly focused global development team who support critical firm functions such as Legal, Compliance and Operations. The division develops strategic solutions that support key business processes, including Settlements, Confirmations, Regulatory Reporting, Position Keeping, Anti-Money Laundering and Trade Surveillance.
The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to contribute to improving the technology platform to help the business sustain high volume and revenue growth.
Primary Responsibilities:
You will work as part of a collaborative agile development team. We work very closely with our business partners, within your role you will be required to liaise directly with our business partners to understand issues, collaborate and identify solutions.
The primary function of the role is application development. You will develop technical solutions in an iterative fashion, liaising with the business analysts, product owners & other developers within the scrum team. You will develop systems that are critical to the business while being able to work with others to solve problems and meet the dynamic regulatory environment in which we do business.
Skills Required:
- Business Intelligence and Management Information experience.
- Tableau, Data modelling, data presentation, data visualization, KPI definition, ETL processing
- At least 3 years of application development experience utilizing a Business Intelligence product tool set.
- Good knowledge of SQL and data-modelling
- Version control systems (git)
- Defining and using CI/CD pipelines and related tools (Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI, etc)
- Sound understanding of OOP design and SOLID principles
- Highly motivated, self-driven and effective team player
Skills Desired:
- Experience in defining ETL and data pipelines
- Experience working with MPP databases such as Greenplum
- Experience of Agile methodologies.
- Experience in banking and / or regulatory reporting, knowledge of financial products, trade lifecycle etc.
- Strong communication skills
