As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Employee Platforms team, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm’s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough testing of Desktop, Web & mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms.
• Develop, document, and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to understand requirements and provide feedback.
• Design, develop, and maintain Test automated scripts for applications such as Mobile, Web, Desktop applications. 
• Develop and execute automated test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using bug tracking tools.
• Design Test Automation framework from scratch.
• Perform performance testing such as Load runner or Jmeter
• Hands on experience on API testing and ability to write Jmeter script.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience     
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages
• Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle
• Proven experience in Desktop app test automation, with using C#, Java, Python.
• Proficiency in Web & mobile test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Sauce LAB, Cypress etc.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to design Test automation framework from scratch.
• Experience with Linux and shell scripting.
• Exposure to cloud technologies

• Nice to have exposure on performance testing tools like Load runner, Jmeter.
