Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience with project management and delivering technical solutions.
- Experience with architecting, developing, and maintaining technical solutions by leveraging virtual machines, containers (e.g., Kubernetes/GKE), serverless computing, or software defined networking (SDN).
- Experience working in a cloud computing environment (e.g., infrastructure, storage, platforms or data).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with customer-facing migrations, including service discovery, assessment, planning, execution, and operations.
- Experience reading software code in one or more languages (e.g. Java, JavaScript, or Python).
- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
- Experience with systems design, and Kubernetes, GKE, or EKS.
- Ability to explain systems interactions including data flows, common interfaces and APIs.
- Excellent communication, presentation and problem-solving skills.

As an Application Modernization Cloud Consultant, you will work directly with Google’s customers on critical application development and modernization projects to help them transform their businesses. You will provide consulting, program management and technical expertise to customers while working with client executives and key technical leaders to drive adoption of modern applications and cloud native products on Google Cloud Platform. You will work with customers on application re-design and implementation, including application scaling, reliability, and ongoing operations such as application and feature rollouts, monitoring, and more. Additionally, you will work with Product Management and Product Engineering to build and facilitate excellence in our products.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $123,000-$176,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Work with customer development leads, client executives, and partners to manage and deliver cloud applications, become a trusted advisor to decision makers throughout the engagement.
- Propose solution architectures and manage the deployment of cloud native application development solutions according to customer requirements and implementation standard procedures.
- Work with internal specialists, Product, and Engineering teams to package approaches, standard procedures, and lessons learned into thought leadership, methodologies, and published assets.
- Interact with sales, partners, and customer technical stakeholders to manage project scope, priorities, deliverables, risks and issues, and timelines.
- Travel upto 30% of the time for client engagements.
