Position Description:

The University of Louisville School of Dentistry (ULSD) is seeking a qualified candidate as an IT Technology Support I. This Tier 1 helpdesk / desktop support is for the University of Louisville School of Dental Staff, Faculty and Students. Providing 1st line support, guidance and assistance with classroom and conference AV equipment, exam support, clinical PC’s, Thin clients, peripherals and POS devices, basic software troubleshooting and user account management. Prioritizing requests received via the ticketing system, phone and walk-ins. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Offer excellence in customer service, providing a first-class experience for the ULSD customer base.
  • Support and maintain Audio/Visual and electronic testing equipment used in classrooms and conference rooms, such as microphones, video screens, projectors, sound equipment, and shared computers. Work with vendors to troubleshoot and RMA equipment as needed.
  • Routinely monitor classrooms, conference rooms, teaching galleries, or other rooms containing Audio/Visual equipment for maintenance, verification of optimal operation, cleanliness of lectern.
  • Provide technical support and guidance for tele/videoconferences, webinars, and remote learning classes. Prepare and update instructional documentation of Audio/Visual systems and electronic testing equipment; Schedule and deliver routine user training sessions in effort to orient presenters on system and testing functionality.
  • Act as point of contact for exam/testing support with used applications and ULSD owned devices, providing support for all exams/tests as required.
  • Install, maintain and update ULSD hardware and software in clinics and offices; troubleshoot and escalate reported issues.
  • Manage tickets and prioritize, logging all reported matters and reassign where applicable; Help and guide customers on ticket submission, creating tickets for customers whenever required.
  • Create, update, and maintain documentation for supported hardware and software to strengthen cross training within Dental Informatics team.
  • Maintain a database inventory of all unit-supported hardware and software, including license records, to ensure compliance with copyright laws and inventory requirements.

Target Compensation Maximum:

$25.39

Target Compensation Minimum:

$16.93

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
