Position Description:

The School of Accountancy and Department of Finance in the College of Business at the University of Louisville is seeking a Department Coordinator III to manage the daily operations of the School of Accountancy and Department of Finance Office. This role is responsible for providing administrative support for faculty and department heads, executing departmental events and recruitment, and processing financial transactions.  This position is full-time (40 hours per week).  

The primary responsibilities of this position are:

  • Manage day-to-day operations for the School of Accountancy and Department of Finance
  • Support Chairs and Program directors with administrative tasks
  • Accurately create and maintain electronic files
  • Monitor department spending and commitments
  • Complete departmental purchases using appropriate processes according to university policies and procedures
  • Arrange faculty and student travel and travel and expense reimbursements according to College and University guidelines.
  • Coordinate faculty and student worker recruitment
  • Manage Student Workers

  • Arrange and coordinate guest speakers and other Departmental activities and events
  • Manage recruitment and onboarding of Part-time lecturers and contract preparation
  • Liaise between the School of Accountancy and Finance Department, and the College units (e.g., Dean's Suite, Unit Business Manager, Advising Center)
  • Liaise with various University Offices (e.g., Provost, Controller, Purchasing, Physical Plant, Bookstore and Follett Books)
  • Assist the Advising center with course inventory and curriculum requests

Target Compensation Maximum:

$28.55

Target Compensation Minimum:

$19.03

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
