As a Data Analyst I within Fanatics Betting & Gaming, you will work alongside traders, product managers, and data professionals to deliver data-driven insights that optimise our pricing or identify opportunities for trading
This entry-level role is ideal for someone with strong analytical foundations and a desire to grow within a fast-paced, data-rich environment. You’ll help build reports and dashboards, monitor key performance metrics, and perform exploratory analyses to support decision-making across the Trading function.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a strong understanding of pricing, liquidity, and customer behavior.
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards to monitor KPIs such as market activity, liquidity depth, and user participation.
- Support pricing and risk analysis through structured SQL queries, data cleaning, and exploratory analysis.
- Partner with Trading, Product, and Data Engineering teams to gather requirements and deliver clear, actionable outputs.
- Assist in evaluating performance and identifying trends, anomalies, or inefficiencies.
- Communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders using clear narratives and visualizations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Trading workflows, data tools, and reporting processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or Computer Science.
- Foundational data analysis skills, with exposure to structured data extraction, cleaning, and transformation.
- Basic knowledge of SQL, with an eagerness to grow into advanced querying (CTEs, joins, aggregations, window functions).
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to structure analyses clearly and logically.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain data findings in plain language.
- Curiosity about financial markets, or sports betting, with a willingness to learn trading fundamentals.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI) to create dashboards and reporting tools.
- Exposure to programming languages like Python or R for data analysis.
- Familiarity with semi-structured data (JSON) or modern data tools (Snowflake, Databricks, dbt).
- Interest in risk modeling, pricing, or financial market structures.
Salary range is listed in USD; ranges will change based on country and state of residence, which are reflected in Geographical Zones defined by Fanatics Betting and Gaming. *Salary Range: $86,400 to $108,000 (Salary range incorporates all of our Geographical Compensation Zones and is subject to change as the Zone associated with the actual Offer is confirmed).
