Job Duties
The Virginia Department of Veteran Services is seeking a Transition Resource Coordinator to join the Veterans Education Transition and Employment (VETE) department. The Virginia Values Veterans (V3) program consists of an employer/company assessment, training, and support program that encompasses transition assistance to service members, veterans and spouses.
Minimum Qualifications
• Ability to manage multiple clients, programmatic activities and/or projects simultaneously.
• Ability to effectively interact with diverse constituencies and inter-agency government officials.
• Ability to identify and prioritize program performance and service delivery.
• Knowledge of database administration and/or a client relationship management system (CRM).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Prior experience providing training and instruction to adult learners.
• Knowledge of best practices on recruiting, hiring, and retaining military community.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and environments, exercising sound judgment and problem-solving skills in high-paced settings
Additional Considerations
Experience in social services, business, public administration, education or combination of education and job experience. research, public policy, public administration, business, or related field or equivalent experience
