Job Summary:
Equip intern to be fully versed in all aspects of introductory leadership within the Merchandise Department. You’ll achieve this primarily through hands-on exposure to all core operational aspects of running a sales floor and engaging a team in the participant’s home venue. In addition, shadow strategic partners across the resort, experience a diverse array of venues within the department and actively participate in leadership training with the home-venue management team.
Major Responsibilities:
- Learns business and all responsibilities of the Sales Associate and Stocker role within Merchandise.
- Masters cash handling, drives sales floor operations, and engages & leads a team through comprehensive and hands-on training.
- Maintains and follows a full calendar of events including meet and greets, development classes, program events and venue shadows.
- Gains familiarity with all systems utilized by the department and grasp broad policy and procedure within Merchandise.
- Prepares summarized program experiences and learnings to report to mentor weekly.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
- Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
- A transcript is required upon application.
Preferred Skills & Knowledge:
- Preferred majors include: Business Management, Hospitality Management, or similar.
- Previous leadership experience through on-the-job experience, coursework, or education organizations preferred.

- This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
- Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than August 2026.
- Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
- All of our internships are paid, and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
