Pricing Analyst

This critical role is responsible for the collection, analysis and reporting of sales and pricing data across our Quarries business. By providing actionable insights and supporting our national pricing strategies, you’ll help enhance decision-making and drive improvements in overall sales productivity.

Transfer Pricing:

• Evolve the transfer pricing frameworks in conjunction with the Sales, Finance and Pricing teams  
• Ensure internal pricing structures align with financial policy and strategic objectives.
• Work with heads of departments to refresh transfer prices bi-annually via analysis and dialog. 
• Contribute actively to the price-setting processes for intercompany transactions.
• Challenge current process and thinking for continual improvements. 

Governance & Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, pricing governance, and data integrity standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to audit requirements across pricing and reporting systems.

Pricing & Margin Management:

• Deliver meaningful price and margin analysis to support strategic pricing decisions and improve profitability.
• Develop reporting to proactively identify margin leakage gaps in internal price execution. 
• Undertake deep dive analysis on internal pricing issues as they arise.
• Make recommendations to Sales, Finance, Pricing and IT teams to adjust processes that have given rise to issues. 

What are we looking for?

• Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills, with advanced Excel capability (experience with Power BI or similar tools highly regarded).
• Experience in financial, pricing, or commercial analysis within a complex, data-driven environment.
• Exposure to or understanding of transfer pricing principles is highly desirable.
• Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly and influence stakeholders with evidence-based recommendations.
• Background in construction, building materials, or large matrixed organisations will be viewed favourably.
