We are seeking a Senior Business Advisor, Revenue Management with strong financial management expertise to join our team within the Finance Division of Corporate Enabling Services (CES), supporting the National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS).
About The Role
As part of the NPWS Finance and Resources team in CES you will partner with staff in NPWS to provide high-quality advice on revenue performance, grant management, and general revenue management.
You’ll deliver data-driven insights to support executive decisions and work with stakeholders, including NSW Treasury, to ensure transparent financial reporting.
This is a data-heavy role where you can use your system and modelling skills to full effect. You will be encouraged and supported to think outside the box and make an impact on the future of NPWS.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- The Senior Business Advisor, Revenue Management provides high level business and financial advisory services including internal budgeting and forecasting, revenue reporting and analysis, and external grant forecasting.
- Preparing monthly executive financial reports and analysis of data including dashboards for senior executives to support decision-making and address variances
- Advising on complex budgets and developing related forecasts to align with operational strategies
- Support your Line Manager in strategic revenue management and governance, including implementing new procedures.
About You
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- Financial Reporting Skills: Experience in developing and preparing monthly financial reports and utilising dashboards with senior executives. Experience in managing complex budgets, forecasting, expenditure revenue tracking and delivering financial analysis that supports executive decision-making.
- Advisory Expertise: Ability to provide timely, expert financial and accounting advice, and develop budgets and forecasts.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analysing financial performance, managing cash flow, and monitoring business metrics. Including financial modelling and data interpretation, with a high level of proficiency in Power BI and spreadsheets.
- Coordination Abilities: Experience in working with multi stakeholders, budgets and coordinating forecasts for multiple.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong skills in building confidence and support among stakeholders, clients, and peers.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to research and resolve complex issues, offering innovative solutions.
- Communication Skills: Experience in preparing detailed briefing notes, senior executive reports, policies, and procedures.
- Collaboration and Team Player: Ability to work with other stakeholders and teams to deliver finance-related initiatives.
Essential Requirements:
- Senior experience in financial management and analysis
- High level Finance Business Partnering
- Proven ability to work across complex, multi-division organisations
- Strong technical skills with financial systems like MyWorkZone (SAP ERP) and MyOutcomes
- Tertiary qualifications in finance/accounting and membership with a recognised accounting body (e.g., CA or CPA Australia)
