Senior Business Partner - Finance

Westgold Resources is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Business Partner – Finance to join our dynamic finance team based at our Perth Head Office. This is a pivotal role offering the opportunity to work closely with operational and corporate teams across our gold mining operations, contributing to strategic financial insights and robust reporting frameworks.

We are looking for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a passion for numbers, and brings a collaborative mindset to support our underground and open-pit mining and milling operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with key stakeholders across operational sites and corporate functions to deliver financial insights and support decision-making.
• Lead and execute end-of-month reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial reports.
• Manage day-to-day accounting activities for both site and corporate entities, including general ledger reconciliations.
• Reconcile stock models and ensure alignment with operational data.
• Provide financial oversight and analysis of mine capital expenditure, rehabilitation provisions, and amortisation schedules.
• Maintain a strong understanding of gold mill accounting practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational plans.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or a related discipline with a major in Accounting or Finance.
• Full professional membership with CA ANZ or CPA Australia.
• Significant experience in the mining industry, preferably within gold operations.
