We are seeking an experienced and versatile IT Manager to lead modernization and operations for our client’s technology environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing IT operations, directing infrastructure modernization efforts, and providing strategic expertise in cloud and hybrid deployments. This role requires consistent on-site presence at the client’s headquarters - 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Direct IT operations across infrastructure, virtualization platforms, storage systems, networking, phone systems, client devices, and business applications.
- Lead modernization initiatives to transition legacy systems toward scalable, cloud-ready, and secure architectures.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to assess infrastructure requirements and provide guidance on modern technology solutions.
- Conduct migrations from client on-premises environments to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), including networking and security reconfiguration.
- Engineer hybrid and cloud infrastructures to support customer requirements while maintaining datacenter solutions where appropriate.
- Provide advanced support for infrastructure-related issues, including Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365
- Serve as the technical escalation point for IT operations staff, ensuring complex incidents are resolved effectively.
- Design, develop, and implement networking and security infrastructure to ensure reliable internal/external communications and compliance.
- Validate infrastructure security, performance, and availability, and make recommendations for optimization.
- Partner with stakeholders to align technology strategies with business goals, budgets, and compliance needs.
- Document environments, procedures, and best practices to support knowledge transfer and long-term system stability.
- Mentor IT team members, fostering skill development in cloud services, security, and emerging technologies
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- U.S. Citizen (Federal client requirement)
- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, including cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP), virtualization, and networking.
- Proven experience directing IT operations (infrastructure, networking, servers, storage, virtualization, and security).
- Strong expertise with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and enterprise application support.
- Experience with cloud migration, deployment, and modernization strategies.
- Familiarity with networking and security technologies (Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, Fortigate, Ubiquiti, etc.).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell) and Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on technical execution.
Preferred Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps
- CompTIA Security+, Network+, or similar

The salary range for this position is $90,000 -$110,000/year.
The base salary range for this position is an estimate and may vary depending on relevant factors, including but not limited to education, experience, certifications, and skillset, as well as internal equity and business considerations. This range reflects base pay only and does not include bonuses, incentives, benefits, or other forms of compensation that may be offered as part of the total compensation package.
