Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated nurse—either an LPN or RN—who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and guiding students on their journey to becoming Certified Nursing Assistants.
The primary responsibility of this position is to lead and supervise students during their clinical practicum experiences, helping them apply classroom knowledge in real-world healthcare settings. When clinical groups are not scheduled, the nurse will also provide instruction in classroom and lab environments, supporting students in developing foundational skills and preparing for clinical success. This role blends instruction, coaching, and mentorship, and is a vital part of shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Position Details
- Hourly Rate: LPN: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour, RN: $30.00-$32.00 per hour
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday with no weekends. Specific hours vary based on training schedules: 6:30am-2:30pm for clinical instruction, and 8:00am - 4:30pm for classroom and lab instruction. May work an occasional evening to provide vacation coverage.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist a lead instructor in teaching 56 essential CNA skills in a lab setting.
- Lead students through the clinical practicum, ensuring hands-on learning and skill development.
- Supervise CNA students in both lab and clinical settings, providing constructive feedback and mentorship.
- Support students on their journey to becoming Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs).
- Teach CPR, Medical Terminology, Test Taking Strategies, Employability Skills, and other relevant workshops.
- Deliver Person-Centered Planning services, ensuring a respectful and inclusive learning environment.
- Accurately track and manage data, maintain attendance records, and utilize interactive teaching methods.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal CNA training guidelines.

Requirements
Qualifications
- State of Michigan Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
- Minimum 1 year of experience working as an LPN or RN.
- Preferred: Experience supervising CNAs and/or working in a long-term care setting.
