Your Main Tasks Will Be:

• Support the QC manager and lab team in achieving the departmental goals on product quality, functionality and performance.
• Play an active role in the management of internal quality non-conformances and participate in root-cause analyses and determination of corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in external complaint handling and root-cause analyses.
• Answer technical questions from internal and external customers in regarding to quality control and product functionality related aspects.
• Organize batch retests and decide on shelf life extensions for raw materials, intermediates and finished goods on stock.
• Decide on product quality approval or rejection
• Perform product functionality tests of finished products according to defined methods against agreed specifications.
• Decide on product quality based on functionality tests' result evaluation
• Report all of functionality results according to the customer specific requirements
• Evaluate raw and finished materials from functionality perspective
• Support new products and support new technology introduction
• Participate in local, regional and flavour functionality related projects
• Complete Quality Lab related improvement projects (methods, calibration, new equipment need identification according to the requirements)
• Support customer complaints and non conformance management (Z1, Z2Q, Z3)
• Take part in the Quality laboratory -relevant ISO documentation's maintenance .
• Support the Quality laboratory work as deputy occasionally – e.g. SAP Specialist tasks execution

General Rules:

• Ensure conformity with food safety (HACCP) and quality management regulations (e.g. FSSC 22000, etc)
• During working keep the Food Safety principles in mind and aim to increase food safety awareness in all circumstances
• Comply with Health and Safety and Fire protection regulations.
• Comply with management regulations and other directives.

Requirements:

• Laboratory professional education or studies in natural sciences or food technology higher education in food processing
• Minimum 5 years experience
• Fluent English language skills
• Sensory and microbiological testing
• Understanding of the food industry and food chemistry
