About The Role

This hybrid role blends the technical responsibilities of an Environmental Consultant with the strategic focus of a Business Development Manager for Sustainability. You’ll be responsible for conducting environmental assessments, advising on policy and compliance, and driving the growth of sustainability services across sectors including mining, construction, logistics, and government.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental impact assessments and propose solutions to mitigate negative effects.
• Analyse pollution, ecological data, and environmental samples.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to expand sustainability services in the Pacific region.
• Build relationships with consultants, industry associations, and potential clients.
• Attend industry events and promote sustainability offerings.
• Collaborate with marketing to produce targeted communications and thought leadership.
• Monitor market trends and adapt strategies to meet evolving client needs.

About You

You’re a passionate environmental professional with a commercial mindset. You thrive in multidisciplinary environments and enjoy both technical analysis and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Ecology, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience in environmental consultancy or sustainability.
• Proven track record in business development, preferably in the sustainability sector.
• Strong understanding of Australian environmental legislation and sustainability frameworks.
• Familiarity with services such as Sustainability Assurance, Modern Slavery Auditing, and Product Certification.
