Senior Motion Designer

Job Purpose:

We are looking for a Senior Motion Designer to lead the creation of compelling motion graphics and 2D/3D animations for digital campaigns, video content, and multi-platform experiences. This role requires both hands-on design expertise and the ability to mentor junior designers, ensuring world-class creative execution that elevates brand storytelling.

Job Details:

• Location: 100% Remote (LATAM-based candidates preferred)
• Type of Contract: Contractor position
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Costa Rica Time Zone).
• Language Proficiency: Professional proficiency in English and Spanish (B2+ reading, writing & conversation)
• Availability: Immediate availability preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with creative teams to create quality visual design and engaging digital experiences.
• Design and animate high-quality motion graphics, 2D animations, and video content for digital platforms, campaigns, and product launches.
• Lead creative direction for motion design projects from concept to final delivery.
• Mentor and support junior motion designers, fostering growth and quality standards.
• Edit, adapt, and localize video content for global brands across multiple markets.
• Manage timelines, resources, and project documentation to ensure seamless delivery.
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and excellence in all creative deliverables.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (creative, production, account services) to achieve project goals.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, tools, and emerging technologies in motion design.

Required Academic Background:

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Motion Design, Multimedia, or a related field.

Required Skills And Experience:

• 7+ years of professional experience in motion design, animation, and video editing, ideally within creative agencies or digital production studios serving global brands.
• Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) with advanced compositing, typography, and visual storytelling skills.
• Hands-on experience in brand storytelling and crafting narratives that align with campaign strategy and audience engagement.
• Strong background working in fast-paced agency environments, managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Experience collaborating directly with account managers, creative directors, and cross-functional teams to translate briefs into compelling motion solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior designers and elevate team output through feedback, guidance, and best practices.
• Strong understanding of design principles, animation pipelines, asset versioning, and quality assurance processes for high-volume production.
• Comfort working with global clients and multi-market adaptations, ensuring consistency while tailoring content to local audiences.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish, with ability to present concepts, explain design decisions, and collaborate effectively across teams.
