Shift: 6:30am - 3:00pm
Job Description:
PATIENT POPULATION:
The patient population served can be all patients, including geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric, and newborn. This also includes services which affect facility staff, physicians, visitors, vendors and the general public.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the department Leader(s) and the direct support of the Lead Distribution Clerk, the Distribution Clerk is responsible for the stocking, inventory and distribution of supplies that support operations throughout SVMC hospital and clinic operations.
Must be able to work normal/scheduled working hours to include Holidays, call-backs, weeknights, weekends, and on-call. Agrees to participate, as directed, in emergencies and community disasters during scheduled and unscheduled hours. As a designated disaster service worker you are required to assist in times of need pursuant to the California Emergency Services Act.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have previous experience in distribution.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence if required. Communicates well verbally and in writing.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a high school diploma or equivalent.
An applicant for this job position is required to provide a copy of their current CA driver's license along with a current DMV driving record printout as requested by the Hospital during the application process. The DMV driving record print out must be dated within one (1) week of the scheduled interview with the Hospital and must have the word ""END"" printed at the bottom of the driver's history report.
The employee must maintain a valid CA driver's license and current DMV report, the results of which are within acceptable standards as per SVMC policy as a condition of employment. The employee will also be required as a condition of employment to enroll in the DMV Pull Notice program to allow the Hospital to receive notice of any changes in their driving record.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
*Indicates Essential Function
1 * Monitors and replenishes designated Par Areas ensuring par levels meet utilization history as established by Materials Management Administration.
2 * Communicates with Materials Management Administration as well as alerting internal customer department personnel of any supply shortages or backorders.
3 * Alerts Materials Management Administration of any fluctuation of inventory levels due to obsolescence, stock shortages, and/or reorder quantities due to utilization changes.
4 Ensures storeroom, supply carts and inventory areas we service are kept clean, well maintained, and secure. Restocks storeroom, as required, through reorder recommendation report. Assists in delivering of non-stock items to appropriate departments.
5 Affixes patient charge labels on products as required.
6 * Monitors disaster supplies carts for required inventory and levels; ensures integrity of items, removes outdates and ensures supplies are readily available for disaster. This will be checked quarterly.
7 * Monitors areas maintained by Materials Management for product expiration dates.
8 * Utilizes hand held technology for inventory transactions.
9 * Upholds a professional work environment between Materials Management Staff and other internal SVMC customers.
