Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Project Manager for one of our offices in Sacramento, CA. This role is open to remote work.
Summary:
This role reports to the ROW Advisor and Deputy Director of Third Parties. Manages planning and delivery of ROW survey and documentation activities. Defines project scope, schedule, and budget. Oversees quality, coordinates teams, resolves technical issues, and ensures compliance with ROW standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform quality control reviews on legal descriptions and plats being produced by production staff. Coordinates with the Contract Manager, Right of Way manager and Fresno PM to provide quality assurance, consistency checks and adherence to various utility company standards
- Provides guidance to production staff preparing legal descriptions and plat maps. Holds training sessions with the team as needed to ensure quality and consistency. Suggests process improvements to Contract and R/W Managers as needed
- Monitor tracking systems to ensure production in the order of importance necessary for the timely acquisition of property rights required for the project
- Provides status reporting data to coordinator and Fresno PM for inclusion on weekly/monthly project reports
- Ensures that production teams have been provided with the data needed for preparation of plats, legal descriptions, and deed jackets. Provides requests to Fresno PM for additional data and issue resolution. Returns rejected packages to and works with project team for resolution
- Coordinates daily with project team on priorities and status, relays issues to appropriate responsible person for resolution
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant discipline and/or equivalent years of survey experience
- Over 15 years of experience working as a Program and Project Manager on survey projects
- Be knowledgeable and familiar with principles and techniques of quality management, performance, improvement, team building and customer service
- Be knowledgeable of the laws, rules and policies of the state and federal government relating to real estate acquisitions, relocation assistance, property management, eminent domain, and financial functions and requirements
- Effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals, management, employees, stakeholders, public organizations, other state agencies and elected officials
- Perform effectively under rigid time constraints and pressure
- Analyze complex problems and recommend effective courses of action
